The Ducks

If you walk down to the duck pond you will find approximately 30 ducks swimming on the pond. They have a little row of nest boxes in which to lay their eggs.

You can try a duck egg with your breakfast. They are organic, fresh and very good to eat. We sell the surplus eggs at the door.

Years ago, there were 200 ducks, kept for their eggs. People would park at the top of the front paddock, by the road, to look at them.

Every evening at dusk the ducks could be seen marching in line down Marchacre Lane into their nightquarters.
