About Elberton

It is only relatively recently that the name Elberton has been consistently used.

Many different spellings of the name have been used over the years, including Alberton, Allberton, Ayleberton and Aylberton.

It is thought that the name Elberton could have come from"Eald" meaning old and "Berton" meaning farmyard. Therefore Elberton would mean Old Farm.

Step By Step Directions

Redhill Farm is situated just off the B4461 which runs between the M48 Aust Old Severn Bridge and Thornbury.

As you go through the village of Elberton take the Littleton-on-Severn turning.  Turn first left into Marshacre Lane.  Go down the lane - Redhill Farm is the first gate on the left.
